This past Thursday, the Kent Place REBOOT Leadership Team hosted a summit with @delbartonschool, @morristownbeard, @stuartcdschool, and @oakknollshc. We started with hearing from our guest speaker, @jiambao from Encode, where she talked about AI in our society. It was an amazing opportunity to spread our mission, collaborate with different schools, and discuss AI from many viewpoints.

To summarize, this session helps middle school girls confidently navigate the digital world by setting ethical boundaries, building resilience against online challenges, and fostering healthy digital habits. They’ll also learn to establish an ethics committee called REBOOT Jr., which guides the middle school community on the benefits of technology and social media while emphasizing ethical use and digital boundaries. REBOOT Jr. aims to create a safe and responsible digital environment for students and parents.

Ten talented students represented KPS at the Artificial Intelligence Summit hosted by Newark Academy on 1/11/2025! Jenna Carey and Ava Bullione, two Grade 11 students, showcased the fantastic work done by the student-led group REBOOT on the Ethics of AI. Their efforts are a testament to the importance of responsible AI innovation.
